Third Party source imaging software

EGI offers our own GeoSource 3 software, as well as third party packages.

BESA EEG/MEG Software

BESA, by MEGIS Software GmbH, is a versatile Windows-based software for source analysis and dipole localization in EEG and MEG research. BESA provides a variety of source analysis algorithms, and allows fast hypotheses testing and MRI/fMRI integration with BrainVoyager software. With the Source Coherence Module, create event-related time-frequency displays of power, amplitude, or event-related (de)synchronization and coherence using brain sources or surface channels.

For Research Use Only

BESA is not cleared for clinical use at this time.  As a research tool, BESA provides full access to the control parameters of the source estimation algorithms. Training is required to understand the use of these parameters and the errors of the algorithm settings that can produce invalid results.


BrainVoyager QX

BrainVoyager, by Brain Innovation, is an optimized and user-friendly MRI/fMRI analysis and display software package. The program runs on all major computer platforms including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Brain Voyager offers the ability to unfold and flatten the brain to visualize the entire cortical surface, and supports a variety of fMRI formats. BrainVoyager can be linked to BESA to visualize multiple-dipole EEG/MEG models, and to seed putative dipole locations from fMRI scans.

EMSE EEG/MEG Software

An integrated solution for brain electromagnetic source estimation, this suite from Source Signal Imaging (San Diego) consists of six interrelated modules: the Data Editor, Source Estimator, Visualizer, MR Viewer, Image Processor, and Locator. The modules use a common set of files and interfaces to provide a uniform view of data and modeling results. They can also be purchased separately.
