How to build an Individual Head Model (IHM): Video Tutorial

In addition to creating Conformal Atlas Head Models, the Advanced version of the Geosource 3.1 Research software also has the ability to create Individual Head Models (IHM) using the patient's own MRI.

This means you can now perform the source estimation calculations within the volume of the patient's own unique anatomy.

To prepare for source estimation, you must first create the IHM using the Modal Image Pipeline (MIP) software module.

This video tutorial will walk you through all the steps necessary to successfully create a IHM.  You can also find more details in the GeoSource 3.1 Research Manual.

Do note that to create an IHM you must have GeoSource 3.1 Research Advanced, the patient's solved GPSR file or a .sfp file, and the patient's MRI images.

Note that you will also use the Osirix MD software for importing the individual MRI data, and a high-performance GPU computational node for calculating the Lead Field Matrix (LFM). Both Osirix MD and the GPU are part of the GeoSource 3.1 Research Advanced Package.
