GeoSource 2.0 is Magstim EGI's FDA cleared electrical source estimation software. It extends the abilities of Magstim EGI's Net Station EEG software and enables the user to visualize the estimated cortical activations that generate the EEG pattern measured on the scalp. GeoSource 2.0 uses distributed linear inverse techniques and realistic, atlas-based head models to perform source estimation for EEG scalp data.

Below are images of GeoSource 2.0 showing source estimations of a single time point within an Finite Difference Method (FDM) adult atlas head model, and the corresponding cortical Flat Map. 

To help you understand what version of Net Station and Mac OS are compatible with GeoSource 2.0, please refer to the table below: 

*Mac OS 10.14.4 only tested on select Macbook Pro and iMac models for use with Net Station 5.4.2 and 5.4.3-R. Contact the Support Team for more details.

GeoSource 2.0 is currently the only version of GeoSource that is available for clinical use in the U.S. and Europe (510k and Medical CE clearance).

Do note that GeoSource 3.1 Research is also available within Net Station 5.3 and 5.4. GeoSource 3.1 utilizes participant MRI and 3D electrode sensor positions to build personalized head models based on individual anatomy. GeoSource 3.1 is for research use only and has not been certified for clinical purposes.
