Clinical System Installation ProcedureAfter every purchase of a Dense Array EEG System, an EGI support engineer will visit your site and install your new system. The typical installation and training visit lasts for three days and includes the following: Technical installation:
Training:
The preferred procedure is for the EGI support engineer to unpack the system to verify the completeness of the order. If the customer chooses to unpack the system, the customer is responsible for checking items off the packing list to confirm completeness of the order.
Please do not set up and turn on the system before the EGI support engineer arrives. This can actually hinder the installation process. Installation Procedure Checklist
Before the EGI support engineer plans the installation and training visit, we need each customer to go through the following checklist. System Set Up And Configuration
Training 6) For the training, we will need one or more volunteer "patients". The volunteer can be from the group being trained. 7) We will need to know if the trainees have any experience on Macintosh computers, and at what level. 8) Please inform us of your current file stripping protocol, and how many minutes before and after the seizure event this is done. If you use Photic Stimulation, let us know about your protocol for this: frequency, duration and rest periods. Other Questions 9) Please provide a list of the software montages you commonly use, including names and definitions. We will program the software to include your preferred montages as default settings before the training. 10) We will need approximately 10 liters of distilled or otherwise purified water for the electrolyte. We will also need a means to warm the electrolyte (for subject comfort). A microwave oven will work, but you may need an additional container as the bucket provided with the system will not fit in smaller microwaves. 11) The Geodesic Sensor Nets must be rinsed after use and after disinfection. We will need access to a sink. 12) The system comes with six towels, which should be enough for training. You will want to consider your future needs in this respect, such as if a towel service is in order. 13) If a GPS (Geodesic Photgrametry System) is shipping with your system, it will arrive in two large crates. The dimensions (in inches) follow: Gantry = 74x31x29, Dome = 46x48x50. If these crates are too large to be delivered to the lab, the GPS system may need to be unpacked. If so, please check with us for further instructions. |
