Geodesic EEG System 300

ges300r

Imagine the Possibilities...

EGI introduces the GES 300 with the ultra compact Net Amps 300, Net Station 4.2, and HydroCel Geodesic Sensor Net.

Full details about the research features of the GES 300 are listed in a two-page product flier, available here as a medium-resolution (140KB) PDF. System highlights include:

  • True portability—up to 256 channels in one amp case.
  • Fast application of 32, 64, 128, or 256 electrodes, with no scalp abrasion required.
  • Easy EEG recording of newborns through adults—no sedation needed.
  • Flexible recording options with two HydroCel electrolyte formulations for 2- or 12-hour recordings.
  • Slim and elegant cart available as an option.
  • Turbo-charged with a dual-processor PowerMac G5 and the ultra-crisp Apple Cinema Display HD.
  • Full-featured Net Station 4.2 acquisition, review, and analysis software with digital video included.
  • At only 8% of the size of a 256-channel Net Amps 200 array, the Net Amps 300 is compact and lightweight.

Use with either a MacBook Pro laptop or desktop computer to give your lab the edge it needs.

HydroCel GSN

HydroCel Geodesic Sensor Net®

  • Low-profile pedestals for greater comfort.
  • Carbon-fiber electrodes coated with a tough silver-chloride surface to block out electrochemical noise.
  • Teflon-core coaxial electrode wires to minimize triboelectric noise and the pickup of environmental electromagnetic noise.
  • A unique pedestal design that creates a sealed micro-environment, hydrating the skin and interfacing it with the electrode surface.
  • Captures critical information from the inferior surface of the brain.
  • Nets have rapid application, are reusable, and have low maintenance.
  • No scalp abrasion yields minimal infection risk, painless EEG.

For more general information, visit the GSN page.

Net Station 4.2

Net Station 4.2 is compatible with both Apple's PowerPC and Intel processors. Apple has not announced the release of its Intel-based desktop computer; when MacTel computers are available, they will be standard with our EEG systems.

Acquisition

  • Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) Workbench device for near-real-time display of spectral data.
  • Photic-stimulator Workbench device for interfacing with the ATES PH80 photic stimulator.
  • Digital-video Workbench device for synchronized images with FireWire cameras.

Review

  • Offline display of FFT data using a combination of Net Station's preset frequency bands (average, delta, theta, alpha, and beta) or as many as six user-definable bands.
  • FFT data display in Net Station's Grid, Topo Plot, or Topo Map views with a user-definable time window.
  • JTF data display in Net Station's Grid and Topo Plot views.
  • Synchronized digital video and EEG playback.

For more general information, visit the Net Station page.

Analysis

  • Joint Time-Frequency (JTF) wavelet transform to examine frequency information over time.
  • Gratton, Coles, and Donchin method for removing eye-blink artifacts from EEG data.
  • T-test for single- or multiple-subject files; compares two conditions by row or column and outputs a text file containing t-values for each channel and timepoint.
