Neuroinformatics DivisionEGI's neuroinformatics division has been established as a separate corporation, Cerebral Data Systems (CDS), that is partially owned by the University of Oregon. CDS helps to commercialize the neuroinformatics technologies developed at the UO Neuroinformatics Center. These technologies have the goal of improving high-performance computational analysis of the massive data streams from advanced neuroimaging methods. The first practical use of these technologies will be in creating virtual imaging centers for medical applications such as neurosurgical planning. Future applications will extend to remote monitoring for epilepsy, advanced sleep diagnostics, and home healthcare.
