BESA Workshop in Austin, Texas, USA
October 6-7
Taking place right after the upcoming Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR) meeting, Electrical Geodesics is sponsoring a new workshop for trainees and current users of Brain Electrical Source Analysis (BESA) software.
On October 6 the all-day session covers BESA basics and is especially suited for new users and those in need of a BESA refresher course.
On October 7 the session covers advanced topics and introduces the extremely powerful new features of just-released BESA 5.2.
EGI BESA customers can use use tuition waivers for free tuition. Applicable waivers are those which EGI customers acquire by renewing a Net Station Software Subscription by purchasing from EGI a new BESA license.

EGI Ninth Annual Summer School at
EGI Headquarters, Eugene, Oregon, USA

Basic Session 1: July 23-25, 2008
Basic Session 2: July 30-August 1, 2008.
Advanced Session: August 4-6, 2008
Summer school allows current and prospective customers to visit EGI company headquarters to learn directly from the scientists and engineers who continue to bring innovative EEG systems and analytic tools to the field.
Basic Sessions I & IIIIwill cover acquisition, review and analysis of ERP data. There will be both demonstration and hands-on sections. These sessions will also include science talks covering the latest in neuroscience research at EGI. Attendees will present the results of their study at the end of the course.
Clinical Customers: There is a clinical track added to Basic Session II. The clinical group will cover workflow for both Routine and Long Term Monitoring scenarios. The clinical group presentation will cover analysis of demonstration epilepsy data.
The Advanced Sessio includes theory, demonstration and hands-on training on wavelet analysis using EGI's Net Station Tools software and source estimation using EGI's GeoSource software. This session will also include science talks, information on how to present a Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) paradigm, an overview of working with children, and a data helps session (reservations required).

Morning of March 15
- Martin Liu: Introduction
- Ono Olivieri: Live EEG Acquisition demonstration.
- Dr. Poulsen: Overview of the principles of EEG Source Analysis.
- Dr. Poulsen: Basic comparison of GeoSource with similar products available in the market.
Afternoon of March 15 – all by Dr. Poulsen
- Illustrate a typical GeoSource workflow from averaged ERP scalp data through statistical analysis of source activity for publication.
- GeoSource question and answer session.
Morning of March 16
- Dr. Poulsen: Hands-on training with GeoSource and related advanced Net Station analysis.
Afternoon of March 16
- Dr. Poulsen: Hands-on training with GeoSource and related advanced Net Station analysis (continued).
