When EGI released the HydroCel GSN,
it also announced the availability of the HydroCel electrolyte
delivery systems.
The HydroCel HS can be used only with HydroCel GSNs. This formulation
supports 12-hour recordings, and can support 24-hour recordings,
if reapplied.
The HydroCel Saline is EGI's classic potassium chloride saline
solution and can be used with the GSN 200 and the HydroCel GSN
with sponge inserts. This formulation supports 2-hour recordings.

The HydroCel GSN contains the HydroCel
Hydrating Skin Interface Chamber, which facilitates the delivery
of EGI's new electrolyte formulations. (In the picture above,
the electrode is displayed on the left, and the electrode inserted
into the white pedestal is shown on the right.) The soft flexible
foot of the HydroCel pedestal forms a seal with the skin, encapsulating
the electrolyte and electrode within the skin-hydrating chamber.
When combined with one of the HydroCel electrolyte formulations,
the result is stable, high-impedance contact with the human skin
and scalp.
